Hi Chips Dental Family!
With all of the concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus (also known as the novel coronavirus), we wish to inform you of a few items for your peace of mind.
At Chips Dental, we follow universal precautions for infection control. This includes the disinfection of all surfaces in a treatment room between patients and the sterilization of our instruments. These processes occur as a matter of our normal operations and universal precautions protect both you and our team members from infectious diseases including the COVID-19 virus.
With the increase in concern about the contagiousness of COVID-19, we have increased some precautions to help ensure that treatment can be performed.
First, if you have any symptoms of illness, please stay home and call to reschedule your appointments. Our office team members may ask you about this when confirming appointments.
Second, if you have traveled to an area affected by the virus or you’ve been in contact with anyone who is at risk of having been exposed to COVID-19, please reschedule your appointment.
Third, all surfaces, in our offices including the business office and reception area are being disinfected regularly at shorter intervals than normal. All skin-to-skin contact (for example, handshakes) is being minimized. Our handwashing and disinfecting protocols are continuing as usual between all patients.
We are keeping abreast of all developments in this ongoing concern with the COVID-19 virus to ensure the safety of our patients and team members.
Should you have any further questions or concerns, you may call the office to discuss it with one of our team members.
